Do I need a tech or coding background to enrol?

No. Most of our students come from non-technical backgrounds, from business and finance to teaching, engineering, and the sciences. Every student receives 30–40 hours of interactive Python pre-work as soon as they enrol, so you start day one with the foundations you need. Jack Sticklen, now a data analyst at Deloitte, started with no IT experience at all. 

How is the program delivered?

The program runs over 12 weeks full-time (Monday to Friday) or 24 weeks part-time (two evening classes plus one Saturday class every other week).

What qualifications will I receive?

You'll graduate with two credentials: a UTS Certificate of Completion and the Institute of Data's CDSAIP™ (Certified Data Science & AI Professional) industry certification. Together, these signal to employers that you've completed a university-backed program and met the technical standards set by the Institute of Data's Academic and Examination Boards.

How does the Job Outcomes Program work?

The Job Outcomes Program runs alongside your studies from day one, not after you graduate. You'll work with career coaches to refine your resume, build your LinkedIn profile and prepare for interviews. Many graduates secure roles before they've even completed the program.

What does it cost, and can I pay in instalments?

The full program fee is $16,500. Students who pay the full amount upfront are eligible for a saving of $3,550, reducing the total to $12,950. This offer is subject to change. Alternatively, the full program fee can be spread across a payment plan, which involves a $500 enrolment fee followed by instalments from $135 per week over a term of up to 24 months. Employer-sponsored enrolment is also available. A career consultant can discuss the option most suitable for your circumstances.
